SATURDAY

Woooo finally it's DONE. It fucking felt like a billion years when I was planting all the moss in the soil, and carefully pouring water bit by bit in order not to screw up the layout. I am so satisfied now, all that's left is to wait. Wait and see how the plants are doing.....these kind of moss is well known to wilt and die very fast. The project is only complete when the plants spread throughout the tank like a nice carpet. Oh well at least I get to immerse in a hypnotic environment while it last, playing monster hunter on bed and falling asleep looking at all my babies. Absolutely wonderful way to end a stressful working day.

I will be so heartbroken if the moss completely wipes out after one week. I will be even more heartbroken if my IKEA table broke into two coz the tank is so heavy. My mum is like nagging about the weight of the tank constantly arghh. Anyway it's my first large scale attempt at an Iwagumi Tank, and I hope it will be my last coz I NEED TO SAVE MONEY LIKE NOW.

Although I didn't manage to find BIG rocks as intended, these medium sized ones suffice for now. I needa do it this weekend or else I won't have the time anymore. After much deliberation I picked the oddest looking one as the centrepiece, and let the rest compliment it at the sides. I even formed a cave for my future shrimps to dwell in haha!

YES MY FUTURE SHRIMPS WILL COME FROM THIS MAMA!! My Heh Bee is the first inhabitant of my Slumberland 1.0, survived all the way and surprisingly got pregnant last week!!! I was staring at it one random night when I realised her tummy was a little bumpy and dark. Then I took a torchlight and shone up her skirt, I GOT A SHOCK! Soooo many yellow eggs woooooo!!!!!! Seems like the male cherry shrimps I bought really did their job lol!

Her babies will probably live with the baby guppies that will be given birth approximately by the end of this month. When they are big enough I'll put them in the other tanks. How I wish I had more time for them, work is consuming so much of my time nowadays!
Aim for next weekend is to continue my floating mountains concept. And that is if I don't encounter any problems I need to fix during the weekend, ....like for example buying more hardy plants to replace the dead and withered moss T__T""
LIVE WELL MY PLANTS!
