Claymore 104

For the umpteenth time, THIS IS WHAT WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR. I guess what's so engaging about Claymore has got to be it's knack for creating OMG moments. You would never ever be able to predict what's gonna happen in the coming chapter, but Yagi never fails to please us. The previous chapter left us with the defeat of Dauf in the hands of Priscilla, and she now chases down Deneve, Helen and an unconscious Clare.















You can almost feel the urgency here as the duo expresses disbelief in how fast Priscilla has caught up to them already. The team was charging head on towards the Destroyer as it was the only opponent who could possibly be on par with Priscilla, and planning an escape in the midst of the chaos.



















There was simply NO CHANCE of survival with Priscilla catching up so extremely fast. It reminded me of the chapter where Ophelia hunted for Clare mercilessly, that feeling of hopelessness is lingering all over right now. Deneve's only objective for leading the team towards the Destroyer was to pit Priscilla against the monster, hence she flings her sword towards the Destroyer in an attempt to evoke a reaction.



























As Priscilla catches up to Helen, the Destroyer reacts in time and releases an array of tendrils towards the direction of the assault.














I think it was a real big gamble to have flung the sword towards the Destroyer as they are still not sure about it's raw power yet, but I guess it was a much needed call for desperate measures. Deneve sustained a few injuries on her arms which regenerated instantly due to her abilities.






















Priscilla was of course not spared, and she was stopped in her tracks to deal with this sudden assault from the Destroyer. Phew!!! She almost caught up with Helen right there!






















I was quite nonchalant, and was ready to see the Destroyer's arm crushed as it's supposed to with Priscilla's power.






















BUT I GASPED ALOUD IN THE OFFICE WHEN I SAW THIS. I was simply astounded!!!! WHAT ON EARTH IS PRISCILLA MADE OF. What the fuck!!!!! She crushed the Destroyer in a mere matter of seconds!!!! This Twin Goddesses of Destruction was the entity that unleashed hell and hopelessness onto the island in the previous ten or so chapters, the IMPOSSIBLE UNDEFEATABLE DESTROYER. In one crush!!

BUT as we proceed, the manga explains that this current form of the Twin Goddesses is actually just a surface appearance created by the will of Raphaela and Luciela. Beneath that facade lurks the actual destructive power that is about to unleash in the next few panels. Okay that said, thank god Priscilla wasn't actually that powerful.
















After the facade was destroyed, a mass of well...I don't know how to describe it either, that mass started to devour everything in it's path. My god I bet nobody had any idea that the story would take such a twist. And we thought how on earth would Yagi progress the story if that mountain of Destroyer wouldn't move an inch.























As the wave of death struck, Deneve is caught unaware and gets her limbs torn again. I was kinda rolling my eyes when I saw this coz....I believe in this manga, Deneve has lost more than 5 arms already LOL. Ridiculous.






















As we can see here, Helen is still carrying the unconscious Clare, and having difficulty dodging the strikes.






















Priscilla gets serious for once, and she makes a remark that she will give it her all to end this distraction. Okay now I'm curious. How will a serious Priscilla pit against this fatal entity, we can only know next month.






















Apparently in this panel, Deneve loses an arm AGAAIINN. She had already regenerated the previous lost arm a few seconds ago and now she's torn again.














But this time she's having difficulty regenerating it back in full force. She explains that the Destroyer's wave sucks the life force out of whatever it touches, as seen with how the trees withered when contacted. But part of me thinks Deneve is at her limits of regeneration after suffering so many injuries one after another.



















And then in the midst of distraction, Helen let's Clare slip away. The pair is very shocked as they turned around to see Clare's body on the floor. It was...........torn into half due to Helen's negligence. OH MY GOD? Helen is in shock as tears flowed from her eyes.





















IS CLARE REALLY DEAD? I honestly don't think so considering she is the main character. But this blow doesn't give her any chance of survival UNLESS.......

1. The Destroyer reaches out to her in some way. Raphaela revisits Clare's consciousness and perhaps merge with her? The Destroyer has lost it's form, now perhaps they can seek Clare's "dead" body and merge with her?

2. Miria and gang arrive and some sort of divine intervention occurs and Clare survives. I'm thinking all of them will join forces to regenerate Clare but that is so extremely corny.

3. Deneve dies trying to regenerate Clare in some way, but that is impossible with the current chaotic situation.

4. CLARE AWAKENS.

I am secretly hoping it's none of them so I can enjoy another shocking new chapter. This panel of Clare's half torn body is probably the biggest cliffhanger Claymore has ever had. And as usual, I JUST CAN'T WAIT.
