Yes. It's finally here. If I had reviewed this earlier in the week when it was released, I'd be typing in caps for the entire damn post. But I have since calmed down, and IT'S TIME TO REVIEW THE DAMN THING WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
My encounter with BBS was very accidental. It began when I heard What Goes Around Comes Around on this random japanese chick's myspace, and I thought FUCK! I need more tracks with that unique sound. They were like a mix of Sigur Ros and Nine Inch Nails, and any hardhitting eletronica rock mainstream act out there. And ever since I had the blessing of discovering their entire discography, I was waiting everyday for this new album to come, I needed more music from them. To The Loveless was finally released on 26th, and I am RELIEVED and ECSTATIC that they went from Kick It Out featuring random RAPPER disaster to this fucking amazing industrial goth electronica rock piece.
Back On My Feet
No more rapper collaborations please, the video was....pointless. Anyway I really love their previous album, it had a lot of tracks with a stompin electronica rock vibe to it. When Back On My Feet was released as an EP last year, it was the usual awesome uplifting song that felt like it was part of the previous album. But I feel like they went a little to the dark side in this album, and I absolutely love it. It just seemed like a natural progression when most of their songs had a little hint of the same vibe.
Drain
When the second single Drain was released, we finally got the real preview of the album's vibe. Drain is bam bam bam industrial rock, it was straight up Get Back In My House kinda mood. I couldn't stop replaying the MV for the entire day just to hear it, but now I'm kinda sick of it urgghh lol.
Stay
The album has lots of beautiful sceneries as well, a shining example is this gem that's used in the Sony Bravia commercial. It is so full of hope, so uplifting, well so beautiful. It does remind me a little of Sigur Ros sometimes where they paint such serene landscapes with electronica. The album has more cinematic tracks and interludes like this too. I'll Staaayyyyyy........I'll Staaayyyyyy.......

Vapour
THIS IS MY SHYT RITE HERE! This is THE track of the moment for me, classic BBS melody and muzaakkk. I absolutely love how it starts out with a piano laden tune and bursts into an array of hardhitting drums. SO DON'T LIVE FAST. LIVE FAST. LOST IN YOU. Fucking awesome track.
Lock Me Out
This song really reminds me of Nine Inch Nails in the beginning, then comes the classic BBS riffs and vocals. It certainly stands out in the album, but not my favourite.
This album is absolutely a welcome evolution from their previous project, and there is truly none other in this world that has their unique sound. To The Loveless is their current album, and I can safely say it's their masterpiece to date. Good stuff to come in the years i hope!
Alright I'm really trying not to share the entire album here, just wanted to share some of my faourite tracks. If there is one downside to this album, it is that I find the tracks a weeeee bit muffled. I don't know why, it just doesn't sound the same as the other albums' sound quality. But I was just thinking the other day that it might be their strategy to force the listeners to up the volume LOL. I wouldn't be surprised, considering how some mainstream tracks are enhanced to compete with other songs on radio.
