Claymore 101

Something FUCKING awesome happened this chapter and I'm so damn glad it turned out that way. But first of all, let's move on to the boring part, Clare. Yes, Clare is beginning to bore me to death as I've had enough of seeing her and Priscilla. I wanna see Miria and gang again for goodness sake!

Forgive me but I'm jus gonna breeze through Clare's portion. She fully awakened but got pulled back somehow? Yawn. Priscilla showing the same apathetic look and not fighting seriously, double yawn. As explained by Clare, she spent the last seven years training her speed and skill as she believes these are required to defeat Prisilla. It is speed and not strength, that is needed to harm Priscilla. She got this conclusion when she saw Stormwind Noel cut the Abyssal One's arm with her lightning agility long ago when she was still a kid.

For the life of me I don't understand why so many people including me, missed the panel where Noel cut off Priscilla's arm. I was reading Animesuki forums when one of them pointed out the exact panel as shown below.

There you go, the arm is sliced off at the bottom left.

And Priscilla rejoins her arm back in a split second as expected. WOW! How the hell did I miss that out? It's as though the formerly lesser known Stormwind Noel has shot way above my expectations now that I know she is capable of even cutting Priscilla's limbs!

Clare goes all out to try and awaken but she immediately morphs back to her normal self as seen in the bottom picture.

Deneve explains that it could be the memory of Jean's death wedged deep in her memories, which is stopping Clare from awakening sub-consciously. Jean's sacrifice for her seven years ago left a huge impact on Clare. Alot of people are saying this is just a wild guess from Deneve, but I don't think Yagi would waste so many panels just to present an assumption.

Priscilla then gives a slap to Clare and exclaimed that she is boring. It's interesting how Priscilla was slicing and ripping people up a few chapters ago, and here she is giving Clare the easy treatment. Clearly she wants to know more about Clare and not kill her as she could so easily do so.

The next few panels are definitely a surprise coming from Deneve as she displays her swift decision making skills and executes them with style. After the day long battle with the parasites, Deneve knows that the Destroyer's missiles shoot out more spikes upon being dissected. Hence Deneve chops up the missiles, allowing the spikes to target Priscilla in the vicinity. Interesting way of attacking I would say, the spike's offensive abilities are higher then Helen or Deneve's. Good thinking on Deneve's part!

Indeed Priscilla is caught by surprise, which leaves Clare open for Deneve to swoop in and save her ass.

Upon running away, Helen throws a really huge missile at Deneve, as the latter slices it up in anticipation of releasing the spikes on Priscilla.

As the massive missile reaches Priscilla, it's already cleanly split with spikes emerging already. Priscilla is then impaled from all directions. Oh well of course we know it's useless, Priscilla has proven herself to be impossibly god-like in the past few chapters.

Dispelling the spikes with ease, Priscilla will hunt down the 3 claymores next. There is no way the 3 of them can survive even with the help of Miria, seeing as how ridiculous the power of Priscilla is. BUT OH WELL, LET'S MOVE ON TO WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!!!!!!!

Woohooo!!!! Cynthia who had severed all her limbs have managed to regenerate them back with the help of Yuma!!! I'm so glad we finally get to see them, I'm seriously sick of seeing Priscilla and her boring antics.

Unfortunately, the second wave of missiled from the Destroyer has hit their area. And now only Yuma is able to defend them against the incoming parasites. It should be quite obvious that this scene only means death for Yuma as we already saw how hard Clare and gang had to fight to survive them.

Yuma was impaled by one of the spikes and it starts to manifest on her arm. But the girl wastes no time to knock the parasite out of her arm, ouch!

Yuma knows very well she can't survive this fight, and it seem like saving Cynthia was in vain as she can't protect the both of them now. She starts to cry, thinking how proud the others would be of her, knowing that she has successfully and unexpectedly learnt yoki synchronisation and regeneration. She was the weakest one amongst the seven of them after all, now she is finally of use but might never see the rest again.

I think its the first time in my history of reading Claymore, where I suddenly gasped and exclaimed OH....my god...

DIETRICH!!!!! SUDDENLY SHE POPS OUT TO SAVE THE DAY!!! Oh my god!! I would never have thought Yagi would bring her in that fast!!! I thought it was more of a possibility to see Miria and gang here! What can Dietrich, the Rank #8 of the organisation do against 5 above average Parasites? It's still seems like a defeat for them, UNLESS, Yagi reveals the #1 potential of our beloved Dietrich!!!! I seriously hope she has some fatal asskicking skills to show coz I'm beginning to like her alot. But it's more probable that Miria and gang would just pop by to help them next chapter. At this point, if Renee would to pop out instead, I would be happy too coz I wanna know her status. It seems like the girl has ran away to the organisation. We'll see!

Yeah, Clare not being able to perform and Priscilla getting bored was getting a little old. Deneve still rules, and hopefully Dietrich will rule too.
