Claymore 113

Someone commented that I just HAVE to blog about this chapter cause it's just too damn epic, which I absolutely agree. In fact it was the first time whereby a Claymore chapter actually conjured enough reaction in me to well up some tears and smile like an idiot. Truth is I already gave up blogging about Claymore for good, as you can see there is no update for chapter 112. I was perhaps about 75% sure that I wouldn't be updating this blog anymore. But after receiving a comment for me to write about chapter 113, it kinda instilled the purpose in me again to blog. But I'm just gonna do it only for this chapter cause it's so epic, I might be too busy to update anymore.
















The scene starts with Rubel visiting the research facility to check on the progress of Dae's latest deadly experiment, the resurrection of 3 former #1 warriors with the fusion of...Priscilla's flesh!!! Perhaps the introduction of these 3 super warriors are needed to power balance the current blob that houses the Destroyer, Priscilla and Clare? There's no way for the Ghosts and Organisation to counter the Blob without any external help, but then again this is just an assumption.

As they were discussing about the selection of former #1 warriors to resurrect, Cassandra was chosen as a highlight in the manga. When she broke through her limits, everyone around her was torn limb from limb, now that's pretty cool haha! As ridiculous as the sudden introduction of these 3 overpowered warriors (what's even ridiculous anymore in this manga?), I am so stoked to see their individual abilities and how the Ghosts fare against them!!












Dae's comparison with Abyssal Ones gave the readers a gauge of the power of these 3 new warriors. And also it affirms that if given enough time for Dae to prepare, these 3 new warriors will be completely under control like Alicia/Beth I presume. I don't know but I just have this feeling the new "zombies" will just go wild.

Come to think about it, what is Raki's real role in this manga? He's so damn useless!!!! I thought perhaps he would transform into some awesome monster after being infected, but it seems like so far the purpose for that is just to transport Priscilla's arm to the Organisation to create these 3 new warriors. Is he just a character for the storyline? A male claymore would have been quite an interesting addition.

















The scene jumps to the facility at the north where the Ghosts and the deserted warriors reduce the awakened beings to nothing. I'm really starting to love Dietrich and Anastasia more now, in fact this current generation of warriors although lacking in power, is quite frankly the most interesting generation to date!!!

#4 - Miata (INSANE POWER but deserted, would she return as #1?)
#5 - Rachel (Strong springing strike, works perfect with #3 abilities)
#6 - Renee (Superb sensing abilities, fastest warrior in the org)
#7 - Anastasia (Uses hair to create footholds in midair during battle)
#8 - Dietrich (Demoted but still superb! Org's covert ops tracker)
#9 - Nina (Blade follows target youma energy till extinguished)
#10 - Raftela (Manipulation of warrior's senses)

None of them have any superior offensive abilities other than Rachel (excluding Alicia, Beth and Miata), most are just purely technique based warriors. Would they be more effective in fighting than the previous generation? I don't know but it does seem like they are much softer in comparison.





















Scene shifts back to the organisation as someone is shouting instructions for the warriors that have gathered. They are told to head towards the northern path to attack the rebelling warriors.




















This scene was a little suspicious to me coz that reaction effect seems abit weird. It seems as though they are travelling at high speed, when I think they should have been releasing their yoki in preparation? In that case the usual biki biki crap should have been used instead. But now...with all that motion blur in between them, it seemed to me like a "powerful phantom warrior" is in the midst of the crowd. Highly unlikely though haha.















A specific warrior in the crowd was then singled out to narrate what happened to Miria during her assault against the organisation. Actually her appearance seems cool and fierce enough to warrant a special technique from Yagi haha! And holy crap? Three months has passed since Miria was supposedly dead? I'm too lazy to analyse the timeline but that seems a little farfetched.


















The warrior also revealed that during the time when Alicia and Beth was sent out to kill Riful, all the warriors were gathered at the HQ to protect the base. And this is their second time gathering at the HQ, but this time it was to ambush the rebels at the north. The translation is ridiculously wrong here, it states that Alicia and Beth orchestrated an attack on the organisation.....laughable.















Badass Miria =)






















When the injured Claymores awoke, all of them realised they were allowed to live. I wouldn't doubt this part caused it's quite obvious when none of them are dead, but the following sequenced that Yagi drafted was a tad bit farfetched.














When one of the twin trainees impaled Miria at a non-vital part, all of them came to a conclusion on the spot to orchestrate an attack on Miria. Much like what Miria did to them, they wanted to damage her enough such that she will look dead to the organisation but still lives to tell her tale.






















The gruesome sight that we all gasped at a few months ago....NOOOO MY MIRIA!!!!


















It was a liiiitttttllllleeee too much to assume that everyone had the same motives of hacking her without killing, all without any form of communication so the organisation wouldn't suspect. But I guess it's just manga and I shouldn't take it too seriously.















Either way it was their thanks to Miria for letting them live instead of killing them, which she was more than capable of doing. Not really sure what happened from then onwards as they didn't explain, but I was so relieved when I read till this point. It was like...omg I know it's coming, I know Miria is gonna appear soon!!!!
















Have you heard a man squeal like a young girl before? Now you have. The comeback sequence of the Phantom Warrior is PERFECTO. Cue in dramatic Claymore Anime's soundtracks. I'm liking the organisation's warriors seen here, they all have their unique appearances which makes me more curious about who they are. They are unique enough to have some character introduction!!
















I've got CHILLS down my spine when I saw this, and honestly a bit of tears welled up in my eyes. SHE'S BACK WITH A COOL SCAR HELL YES. The way that she survived the ordeal was quite reasonably dealt with, I am impressed with Yagi's storytelling. We were almost too sure that Miria is gone for good, it just seemed impossible for her to survive. Which was why the impact of seeing Miria again was......AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I'd really love to see the exchange between Miria and the current organisation warriors, what really happened after her failed invasion. I'd think that Audrey and Rachel the current highest rank warriors, who owe her a huge debt fromt he Riful incident, would have been her contact point and greatest influence over the other warriors.

BESIDES, ISN'T THIS SCAR JUST BADASS? I really love the new look!!! And how awesome would it be if Helen kept her eyepatch? It would have just fit perfectly with Miria. Now it seems like Helen got her eye injured for no purpose in the manga's storyline, perhaps Yagi just wanted to add in an eyepatch for the humour.

Yagi being yagi would probably cut back to the scene with Clare next chapter. I'd really love to see Miria's reaction when she hears about Clare haha. That said, the Ghosts really need Clare's power now especially when the 3 former #1 warriors are resurrected. This is probably one of the coolest chapters recently, and the one that got the most reaction out of me when I read it haha. I am pretty damn sure it's the same case for u!

Park Kahi

I'm officially a big fan of Park Kahi the leader of After School haha!! SM Entertainment let this talented girl be BOA's backup dancer for 3 years? BIG LOSS!!! She just had her solo debut and she's fucking amazing, probably one of the few Kpop solos with the entire package. I always knew her, but damn I was abit shocked to realise she's actually THAT GOOD. Plus she ran away from home to be a dancer, 10 years later she finally debuted as a solo singer after much hardship. So good for you Kahi, all the best!!!

Actually I'm impressed coz she sounds good even when dancing in this performance haha, usually her After School vocals very breathless. And since when did she sing this well?? When I first heard the song I thought they tweaked her vocals alot, man I was proven wrong when she performed it haha.



Oh and I must add...this song is on repeat 24/7 hahaha, I AM SERIOUS...it's somehow a very comfortable song to listen over and over again, love the rumbling bass!!!

She's the mother of all long legs.

Claymore 111

This chapter is just. BORING. Comparing with the last chapter, it seems like after waiting a month, the story has only progressed just a tiny bit. The only important events were the arrival of the Ghosts and the explanation of Anastasia's Wing Technique.






















The current #6 fleets around as usual, slashing the awakened beings but never killing them. This brings back memories of Miria who was #6, strong but just not enough to take one down by herself.












This chapter also introduces the current #15 warrior, Nike. How apt. Apparently her unique ability is to spring off the ground as an escape mechanism? Very Nike indeed. The fact that the group consists of #6 and #15 just shows that Yagi is trying to bring up an obvious comparison with the team during Slashers Arc. Hmm I think I'll like Nike just like how I like Deneve, I tend to favour underdogs with unique abilities more. However I'm just giving a rough guess of Nike's ability, wad she just showed in the panel could be explained by Anastasia's wing technique that's explained later.

















I was lost here. Why did Nike throw them to the awakened being? I had the impression that she wanted to spring herself up, grab them and jet pass the awakened beings to escape.




















Apparently it seems like she did, but why is there only 2 people in the air? I really don't understand this sequence of events, someone please shed some light on this!













Yessss the inevitable arrives as Nike is surrounded by Awakened Beings.













Just to be saved by Anastasia who is "flying around". Yawns...very predictable chapter.
















Again, I don't really understand this panel. Why are the two of them kneeling down? Is this a mistake on Yagi's part?













Finally we get an explanation for Anastasia's unique Wing Technique, I'm sure the readers were really puzzled on the physics of her ability last chapter. Now it's finally revealed that she can extend her hair and use it to create footholds in midair all across the battlefield. Pretty unique if you ask me, definitely one of the more farfetched and special techniques amongst the Claymores.














Run, I'll take care of this. YAWNSS....this is really becoming a badly written chapter with all the cheese.













And of course, how can the hotblooded one run right? She has to step up and back the leader to show her support. I'm getting a little agitated over tiny matters like this as the chapter had very little to offer us!!









Hmm now that she said it, her ability is actually pretty useless to intelligent awakened beings like Riful who will notice it in an instant. Unless Anastasia can put her hair to another form of offense instead of just threading around to create footholds, perhaps she might have a better standing than the other claymores.














There could be more awakened beings, but I think what they are sensing here are the yokis of the Ghosts who are just around the corner.











Anastasia get's struck down as expected, it kinda reminds me of the Slasher arc!! Anyway a regular #6 warrior will never be able to take on so many awakened beings at one time, this is just dragging the inevitable.












WOOSH! Something tells me Yuma threw that! Haha it's awesome to see that Yuma have developed a special ability for herself to stand out from the rest, I absolutely support the underdogs!

The Ghosts have arrived to save the day.

This chapter is just plain boring if you ask me. At this point of time where there are so many unanswered questions, giving us this useless chapter is jus a slap to the fans who have waited dilligently every month. I'm really quite disappointed and have nothing much to say this chapter, hopefully Yagi will jump back to Clare, or shed some light on Miria and the organisation.

Claymore 110

Chapter 110 starts off showing a flashback of what happened between Raki and Priscilla during the Destroyer's assault. Seems like Priscilla didn't lose her memory at all, in fact she deceived everyone to believe that she regressed to her child-like state. Raki meant nothing to her at all, useless Raki!!!! Useless from beginning of the story till the end LOL!!














The reason why Priscilla followed Raki all along was because he carried the faint scent of Clare. Or did the manga mean Teresa? Hmm I'm not really sure, but there must be a reason why Priscilla didn't kill Clare back then. Now that she sensed the smell of Clare/Teresa in the Destroyer, Priscilla has decided to abandon Raki as he served no more purpose. Before she leaves, she punctured her severed arm into Raki as a parting gift. It was crucial for Raki as the parasites were taking over his body, until Priscilla's overwhelming presence purged the parasites for him.






















Of course the organisation finds the arm, and realises that it belongs to someone even more powerful than the Abyssals. Ironically they had no idea who is the unknown Abyssal One eventhough Priscilla wreaked massive carnage 7 years ago.






















The Organisation members were deducing which previous Claymore could awaken into such a powerful force, enough to resist the invasion of the Destroyer. A couple of really ridiculous names were thrown out. SURE, we absolutely love the light that's shed on the Organisation's previous top rank warriors. BUT THE NAMES.....I don't know if it's a horrible translation error or was Yagi just making a joke. Cassandra the DUST EATER? A rank 1 warrior with such a laughable name??

Realising the power of Priscilla's arm, the Organisation has decided to make 3 experimental warriors out of her flesh. Oh my heavens....as though the current amount of cliffhangers and unresolved plots were not enough, they just had to plonk in another one.












The Ghosts decides to take the northern mountainous path to the Organisation when Tabitha senses 4 claymores. Just then, she senses a weird yoki approaching the 4 warriors.
















The scene cuts to the 4 warriors of the current generation, making their way back to the Organisation. The new single digit is so beautiful!!!! She's easily the prettiest warrior Yagi has ever introduced to date.















As a human with bizarre yoki approaches the warriors, the stranger uncontrollably awakens himself. That was very odd indeed, it was humans and not youmas who were awakening. Why is that so? Was it the aftermath of the Destroyer's attack? A virus that forces humans to awaken? GREAT, another unresolved plot added into the mix. Now I'm really curious. Could this be an experiment from the Organisation to force their enemies on the Mainland to awaken and go berserk? Or is it just one of the effects of the Destroyer's assault?
















Awesome panel of the single digit warrior disappearing in a flash.
















The highlight of this panel is the fact that the new single digit warrior utilises her hands for her special warrior ability. Mehh...it kinda ruins the mood when Yagi suggests she's using some form of mystical energy. But i highly doubt so if we analyse the next few panesls.



















The focus is on her arms everytime she executes a move. In this case thrusting her arms back causes Yagi to draw a full view of the warrior's ass. Oh I mean...it allows her to thrust forward. It kinda seems like her arms are piloting her movements.














As is the case here, Yagi makes it a point to focus on her arms first before she executes any important move. Surely the single digit warrior's ability has got to do with the manipulation of her arms.



















Here we see something extremely similar to Miria's phantom techniques and Beth's hyperspeed evasions. Could her specialty be speed as well, or simply high agility?















Very nice. I always love how single digits are on such a league of their own, always executing cool moves. How dare they demote Dietrich to a double digit!!!
















Dramatic hair, beautiful landing. In terms of beauty and coolness, she is definitely the Galatea of this generation.






















Warrior #7, Winged Anastasia. Her comrades commented that floating in mid-air during battles are her specialty, but Yagi didn't elaborate how she did it. Some people are pissed with how the focus of her ability seems to be her fingers, it's as though her abilities are magical or mystical, very different from the usual physics of a Claymore's power. What I think is that she probably moves one arm in high speed, allowing her to elevate and steer around. I hope Yagi gives an explanation for this soon.













The chapter ends with more "infected humans" approaching them for help. Of course we all know...the Ghosts will probably interfere in the next chapter. And there is a very high chance Anastasia will ally with them simply because she's too beautiful to be an enemy haha! How bout killing Anastasia off in the next chapter, now that's a whole new level of Yagi-ness. I'm starting to like this new warrior, a very promising replacement for my favourite Alicia who is now dead heheh.

Jungle Concept 70% Complete

I forgot where I left off with my aquarium updates and I can't be bothered to check, but oh hell....so much has happened. Anyway my baby shrimps are now big enough to graduate into a bigger tank, and seeing them happily swimming around in their new home has motivated me to upgrade the environment for them!!















You will not believe how I have neglected the tank in the past month, basically the grass were all uprooted and floating around for WEEKS. I finally got myself to plant them properly in the foreground and added rocks around the "garden" to secure that area in case any fish go on a rampage and uproot everything. I also bought some big leafed cabbage looking plant to plant on the ground, but the main star is the fluttering plant you see sprouting everywhere. I have no idea what's the name but DAMN it sure as hell added a dreamy touch to my aquarium!!!!













These plants are possibly the best buy I ever had for my 5 gallon tank, the shrimps ABSOLUTELY love them!!! Oh by the way I have like 40 or so shrimps swimming around now, it's really a joy to see them having fun around the new plants. See all the red dots in the background? Yea shrimps, tons of them. And all were from the original mama shrimp, the very FIRST and last survivor of my original tank, POWER RITE!! One thing I love about the new plants is that they kinda had this bamboo forest illusion going on when I lie on my bed and stare at them towering up, everything looks even more wonderful with guppies and shrimps swimming around them.















I also bought a fighting fish at a moment of weakness!! It's still very young so I hope in a month's time his growing fins will get MASSIVE. Luckily he is very mild and didn't attack the other fish, I hope it stays that way haha. Anyway it's in the 10 gallon now with only 2 tetras and a few other chapalan algae feeders. The rest of the minnows and tetras have died and I fed it to my crayfish haha!!

















I placed all the snails into the 10 gallon coz I wanna wait for the grass in the 5 gallon to stabilise and spread first, these buggers have the tendency to uproot every fuck shit they see. Anyway the snail FUCKING CUTE RITE!!!?!? Omg gotta love mystery snails man!!! The face seriously looks like some ancient pokemon.

















These are the current snails I have, but I have two other horned nerite snails (ponyo and ponyo junior) which are not in the picture. The green one has been reproducing like MAD, and every now and then I put my hand in to crush all the babies LOL. Omg I am so evil....but if I don't kill them they will swarm my tank. I don't know how the snail has been reproducing alone without a mate though.

My Jungle tank is more or less complete, I'm just hoping the grass will spread well. My dream for that tank will be an entire floor covered with grass, and that is fucking hard I swear. For my 10 gallon tank it's still rocks and moss, I have yet to think about how I'm gonna spice it up to look more complete. Here's hoping that the tanks stay healthy in their current state, and everyone have a blessed healthy life ahead as the end of this decade is drawing near!!
